This is the Web site for The Twilight Cycle, a series of novels-in-progress documenting the fall of the old gods and the rise of the new.
The author is Kris Millering, with major contributions from Storm Wilder .
The world is based on 11th-14th century Europe, a continent where magic is waning and man and immortal alike struggle for power.
The three books are the following:
- The Ice Rose: An orphaned elf child is adopted into a clan of dragons, and witnesses the fall of one of the greatst dragon priests the world has ever known.
- The Blood Lily: A young priestess is made head of her Order during wartime, and discovers that if she does not act, the gods--and all magic in the world--will die.
- The Lightning Iris:A goddess releases an ancient evil, and her daughter must find and contain it.
Updates will be posted as they become available. Currently, I'm writing The Ice Rose.
You can join the notify list to learn about new chapters as I post them. (Or friend the Livejournal account Midnight_mare.) Most of the chapters of these first drafts are now behind a password. The first chapter (or few chapters) of each book are available to the public, but to see the others, you will need to either join the notify list or friend the Livejournal account.
